unexpected downtime

Forget about your server for a month and notice everyone thinks it is dead. i hopefully revived a server that just had communication issues with the outside world. it should now be back up and running. sorry for the inconvenience.

server down until Thursday

apparently a power serge has damaged my cable modem and i will not have internet till then as that is the soonest that they can come and replace my modem.

Fresh bangs soon but only if i start getting more traffic

other porjects like work has kept me away form maintaining my tradewars server and i know that if it goes down it won't be missed. as not many people play my tradewars game and i think that the classic tradewars is dead and soon i may abandon my server.

Nasty weather can disrupt game play

Since the power outage yesterday i was unable to update this blog to tell you that my server was down yesterday. because of the nasty weather it might go down again today or tomorrow as well till the weather calms down

server is back up and thanks for not sending me email about the down time. as this blog will be the place i will record actual purposeful down time.

downtime for today

will be shutting down my trade wars computer to clean it with a can of compressed air.  as i think it is about time i did so. hopefully it won't interrupt anyone game.

Beta and Gamma

I just banged 2 games Today. Beta and Gamma.  Beta is my attempt at a game with custom Aliens quick edited. and Gamma For those who like to use scripts and automation.

No power meens no tradewars.

just found out that the power at home is out, so my server will not be functioning until the power comes back on. sorry to all you avid players who have invested time in my Tradewars server :)

but at work i have power. so then i am able to update my tradewars Blog.

Server restored but all data gone.

i restored the functionality of my server but at the expense of all the data on the hard drive. i am going to use my older computer for trade wars only.

Avast and Tradewars are not getting along.

my server will be down until avast will let my trade wars Game server run its files. as my server went down with a blue screen of death when it tried to run extern last night. i don't know if it will ever get resolved because it has disabled the everyday use of my server.

down time starting this weekend.

i will be moving my computer to a new room in my house and may have some down time for awhile. ifyou are unable to connect this weekend that is why.

No need to worry about restarts.

since i purchased a new computer i will be using my old computer as a "tradewars only" computer and will leave it on for now. the only time it will restart is when it needs updates. other than that it should be up 24/7 for uninterrupted play.

remember if you want access to the two games that are closed, since i closed them for a reason email me and i will give you access to them if your not using scripts or bots. or any kind of automation

Dead?

i guess i should pay more attention to my game server and keep it maintained. as my server has been listed as Dead on Microblaster's Website. i hope that sometime today i could get it back up and running if not oh well it won't be missed as i only had something like one player anyways.

power outages

since my sever is reliance on the power. it may of been down when you tried to connect. 4 times in the past week at around 6:00 the power has been knocked out by something on our grid. this is the cause of some down time in the last week. sorry about that.

down time over

Sorry for the Downtime. i thought my server was still Running as a service when i restarted my computer the other day. but it was not. it should be working now. the auto mation for the game logs are still not functioning since i have yet to find a way to use blat or something else as a command line emailing program for my server to work in a 64bit OS.

Sorry about the down time. but i did not realize that my Server was not "running as a service" when i had powered down my computer to restart it.

Iota

i just banged a new game today. in order of the greek alphabet the name is Iota. since that is the next in line of the greak alphabet. it is not a gold edition game it is ment to have a place for scriptors and bots to play. maybe get some traffic to my server then.

it apears as though my server is broken

ihave to figure out what went wrong. but my automation is broken at the moment and may not be back up for awhile. but the games are still playable.
